The Gifford Foundation is excited to announce the six organizations selected for the 2025–2026 POWER cohort. The POWER (People & Organizations with Energy & Resilience). POWER is a 12-month capacity-building initiative designed to strengthen grassroots and developing nonprofits in Central New York.

Built on the Nonprofit Lifecycles framework, POWER emphasizes meeting organizations where they are in their growth journey. Under the guidance of Maria Fibiger of Three Dog Consulting, each selected organization will receive tailored support from trained consultants, participate in peer learning sessions, and develop a customized capacity-building work plan. A $7,500 grant to support a capacity-building project is provided to each organization. This is in addition to the $7,500 of consultant time they will receive during the program. In total, those selected receive an investment of $15,000 from the Gifford Foundation.
